  1. Prepare 1 cup of urad dal.
  2. You need 1/2 cup of raw rice.
  3. It's 1 of onion chopped.
  4. You need 2 of green chillies chopped.
  5. Prepare 2 tbsp of grated carrot.
  6. You need 2 tbsp of chopped french beans.
  7. It's 2 tbsp of green peas.
  8. Prepare 2 tbsp of chopped coconut.
  9. It's 2 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves.
  10. You need 1 sprig of curry leaves.
  11. Prepare 1/2 inch of ginger crushed.
  12. It's 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.
  13. It's 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds.
  14. Prepare 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
  15. It's 1 tsp of chilli powder.
  16. You need 1 pinch of baking powder.
  17. You need To taste of salt.

Urad Dal Pancake step by step

  1. Soak the urad dal and rice separately in water for 6 hours or overnight..
  2. Drain off the water and rinse both the urad dal and rice well. Add them to a grinder and grind to a thick batter. Transfer the batter to a wide bowl..
  3. Add all the ingredients (vegetables & spices) except oil to the batter. Mix everything well..
  4. Heat a nonstick frying pan or griddle and grease it with oil..
  5. Pour the whole batter mix on the centre and spread it just a little..
  6. Cover it with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 5-6 minutes till the bottom of the pancake turns golden brown..
  7. Flip it and add few drops of oil around the edges of the pancake. Cook for another 5-6 minutes till the other side gets golden brown or till just done..
  8. Remove the pancake to a plate and allow it to cool for few minutes..
  9. Gently cut the delicious pancake into equal pieces and serve with any kind of chutney of your choice..
